Professional Profile
Patrick G. Huycke
My Practice:
My practice focuses on business and real estate law, organizations and transactions, and estate planning.
I believe in preventative law; the management of business and personal affairs in a manner to minimize exposure to claims and disputes. It is the client’s responsibility to make business decisions and determine what degree of risk is acceptable. It is my responsibility to give legal advice and to assist the client in evaluating alternative courses of action.
My Background and Education:
I attended the University of Oregon and The Netherlands School of Business. In 1972, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. I obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Willamette University and have practiced law since 1975. My experience includes representation of several financial institutions and real estate developers.
Currently, I am on the board of directors of a financial institution. I have been an active member of several charitable and civic organizations in our community, including membership on the Board of Education of Rogue Community College, Kids Unlimited, and Access, Inc. I work closely with accountants and financial planners, taking a team approach to estate planning and other personal and business organization and transactional work, when appropriate.
My Interests:
My wife and I have three grown children. We own a travel agency that my wife manages.
We are busy in our professions and enjoy outdoor sporting activities and world travel. We believe in being active members of the community in which we live.
